I am a lazy Susan when it comes to leaving the neighborhood. This is particularly so if getting somewhere requires more than one bus. That said, the number of times I’ve been to the city’s most heralded museums is an embarrassment to say the least. The California Academy of Sciences is no exception, so I might just need something to push me over the edge.
Luckily enough, this weekend, Friday through Sunday, Wachovia Bank is offering free admission to the Academy to residents of Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill, North Beach, Cow Hollow, and the Marina. Mind you, a general admission ticket will run you 25 smackers so this is a pretty sweet promotion. Unfortunately each visiting adult is limited to six children for free entry, so I guess I’ll have to leave my 7th, 8th, and 9th mistakes at home — you know how it goes: first come, first serve!

You should also check out the Academy of Sciences during a Night Life event. $12 to go through the academy at night with a few cocktails. I’m going for the first time this Thursday. SUPER EXCITED! I’ll update SanFranciscoNoobs.com with my review.
Yeah I know…I’ve almost gone a few times, but haven’t made it. Aren’t you going with Lexi?
yea Lexi, Jon, Greg, and I are going! you should come, but that wine night at the Space Gallery looks pretty tempting!
