Pumpkin ale is for the birds. Wine is where it’s at on Thanksgiving — unless you’re WT, in which case, a keg of Natty Lite would be proper form. So it’s time to stock up on vino for the upcoming holiday. Next Wednesday, Nov. 18, William Cross Wine Merchants (2253 Polk at Green) will host its ninth annual Wines for Turkey Day event from 6 to 9 p.m. Along with some complimentary turkey (!), you can guzzle a tasting of gobble gobble grape for $15, plus tax.
Can’t wait ’til then, you boozehound? The wine shop is having a “Wacky Varietals” tasting this Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. of Pineau D’Aunis, Asyrtico, Robola, Ruché, Listán Negro, Counoise, and Menu Pineau. Whatever that means.
