The Polk Street Blues Festival is coming to “Upper Polk” between Pacific and Union Streets on September 25th and 26th 2010! [I know, I know, you wanted to take it easy that month.] The only free blues event in the city, the fest will “feature two main stages, a merchant market place, arts and crafts, gourmet food booths, a large family area, café seating areas and much more.” Considering that nearly every other neighborhood has a festival during the year, this is kind of exciting. The event’s expected to bring 40,000 people to the ‘hood. If you’re an artist or gourmet food producer interested in exhibiting, rates, now $300, go up (+$50) beginning Jan. 15, so hurry, hurry.
