A group called Red Stick Enterprises applied for a new liquor license for the space at 1516 Broadway, formerly Cossu, which closed last July. No specifics beyond that, but I’m sure the Polk folk will be happy to have another watering hole in the ‘hood. It’ll be interesting to see whether the owners keep the extravagant Moroccan theme or try to tone it down a bit.

I, for one, am not happy that it’s just yet another watering hole in the hood. We have enough. Let’s get something else in that space.
Well, it could just as easily be a restaurant too. Which would be nice. We’ll see!
